Family Weekend

I am kinda sad because I am NOT at my daughter's house 5 1/2 hours away...
My second daughter, her boyfriend, my son and his wife are all meeting at my daughter and son in law's house.  I am staying here.  I was sad until I realized how lucky I was that my children WANT to be together.  That they planned this without my help or intervention.  They are going to have so much fun but I won't be there to watch.   B. and I get to go in two weeks so we will be alright.  Just can't wait to hear about it from everyone's perspective. 

Also, big news.  I am going to have a grandSON!  So excited!  Would have loved either one but happy to have a little brother for MM. 

Fun Times

I have had my grandbaby for the past 9 days.  So much fun!  I am so lonely.  The house is very quiet.  Ken is out of town and Bailey has moved to Baylor.  Even the dog is passed out from a dose of valium (bad storms this afternoon).

I loved having my girls here.  Meg was in Las Vegas so she couldn't make it but it was fun to have Katie and Lizzie at the same time.  We did MM stuff: Children's Museum, swimming, Pumpkin Patch and lots of time just watching her play. 

I have a FULL week.  I really need to spend more time in the Word.

What Am I Thinking?!?!

I have had a very different summer.  Most summers I have had one or two regular tutoring students as well as my NeuroNet clients.  This summer from May 23 until June 29, I was at home SIX days.  All fun trips, three to the beach, two fun out of town weddings, a visit to Missouri, and two business trips with my sweetheart.
I have had two full weeks at home and I am going crazy!  I need to enjoy it but I am bored and seem to get nothing done.  I need to be more focused and have a project.  We have MM next week and then two more times.  I spent this week cleaning toddler toys and sewing bedding for her new Bitty Baby.  I did enjoy my new sewing machine.  Maybe I can get motivated to sew.  When my children were little, that was my salvation.  Didn't realize it at the time but I needed that creative time.  Most of the time I started sewing at 11:00 when Ken went to bed.  I would sometimes sew all night.  The children had beautiful clothes, most of which I have given away. 

I will be teaching Geometry (my parents are rolling over in their grave right now) and English lit and grammar.  YIKES!  I am out of my comfort zone and need to be studying.  Maybe this blog will give me accountability.
